Look for New York social powerhouse Susan Gutfreund to be in the crowd at Saturday night’s Dallas Collection jean jacket auction benefiting the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA).
Ms. Gutfreund is attending with Dallas jeweler Joe Pacetti, who is making his two decades of support for DIFFA a multigenerational endeavor.
His daughter, college student Christina Pacetti, is the youngest of DIFFA’s Style Council Ambassadors.
Also passing the torch at the DIFFA event is scene maker Angie Barrett , a former Style Council Ambassador. At the weekend event at the Hilton Anatole, her daughter Alana King will walk the runway as a new ambassador.

Young man’s game
Later this month, another reality TV star, Judge David Young, is flying to Dallas from his Miami home to attend the DIFFA Dallas Collection jean-jacket auction for the sixth year.
His TV show, Judge David Young, airs locally on KDFI (Channel 27).
Two big DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) supporters, Patti and Howard Fields, lost their daughter, Dee Dee Fields McKittrick, to AIDS in 1996 when she was 27. Dee Dee was the cousin of Judge Young’s partner of 14 years, Judge Scott Bernstein. That connection has fueled Judge Young’s interest in the Dallas AIDS benefit.
