Here are answers to questions that we usually get regarding the night of DIFFA/Dallas Collection.

What should I wear?

DIFFA/Dallas Collection is a black-tie affair.  However, there is little that is inappropriate to wear to this fun, over-the-top event!  Think of how performers dress for the Grammy’s - that is a common comparison.  This is your opportunity to be a star!

When should I arrive?

The event opens at 5:30 with a cocktail preview of all of the jackets for auction.  Considering that more than 1,800 people will be attending the event, it’s a good idea to arrive early - the valet line tends to be long and there are plenty of places to relax in the hotel before the event.  So, beat the crowds!

How will I know where to go?

There will be signage and volunteers to guide you from the Hilton Anatole Tower entrance.  There will be hotel staff directing traffic to the appropriate place for the DIFFA event (Cinema de la Vie) valet.

The event is in the Trinity Ballroom out the doors by the Gossip Bar and down the covered walkway past the Croquet Lawn.

How will my guests know where our table is?

There will be a DIFFA Check-in inside the rotunda entrance to the Trinity Ballroom.  The Check-in volunteers will give guests the appropriate table number.  ALL table hosts must give the DIFFA office (gkelly.dallas@diffa.org) the names of everyone attending as guests at their table no later than Friday Noon.

Will we get gift bags?

Yes!  The valets will put gift bags in your car at arrival based on the number of people riding in the car.  There will be no gift bags in the ballroom (except for some special cases.)  If you are concerned, make sure the valet sees how many are in your car.

If you are staying in the hotel you can pickup your gift bag from the valet stand before the event starts.

What time does valet open for the event?
Valet opens at 5pm.

What happens when?

The schedule for the evening is posted on the website.  Follow this link:  Cinema de la Vie Schedule.  

The Silent Auction closes after the show at 10PM.  All purchases are final at that point.  Make sure and finalize your purchases at Check Out prior to leaving the Trinity Ballroom event area.

Can I attend Collection and the After Party?
YES! The After Party is for all of our Collection Guests.  It is directly across the lawn in the Coronado Ballroom.  Follow the covered walkway from the Trinity Ballroom.   The After Party is open to ALL ticket-holders.

What is the After Party?
The After Party is an dance party that will start at 10PM in the Coronado Ballroom.   

This will be a high-energy event and a  more casual way to be a part of the DIFFA/Dallas Collection!  Celebrity DJs will be spinning starting at 10pm and there will be dancers, performers, and beautiful people passing complimentary beer, wine, vodka cocktails and other “bubbly” beverages.  Snacks and Starbucks drinks can be enjoyed, as well.

At 10PM the seated Collection guests will move to the After Party that will last until 2AM.

Should I get a room at the hotel?

Yes!  The Hilton Anatole is providing very generous room rates for guest of the DIFFA/Dallas Collection.

If you are not staying in the hotel, please do not drink and drive!  You are very important to us at DIFFA/Dallas so, please drink responsibly. 
Our generous sponsor Bud Lite will provide taxis at the Tower AND Atrium entrances. 

If you need to leave your car you will be able to retrieve your keys at the front desk on Sunday.

How late will valet stay open?

The valet will close shortly after the After Party ends at 2AM.  After the Tower valet closes you can request your car keys at the Front Desk at the Atrium entrance.  DO NOT drink and drive!
